One station for one or more scales
Exact Weighing Station brings together local operation and communication with weighing equipment in one complete unit. An industrial Android touch panel runs Smart Scale, the software that displays weight readings and lets operators record weighings at the scale.
Already have a scale? Scales with a communication interface can be connected after reviewing the model and interface. Some installations require an adapter or driver adaptation. The station can connect to and control one or more scales.
Local network or mobile connectivity
The station can connect to your local network or be supplied with mobile connectivity where no local network is available. We work with you to identify the communication requirements for the scales and the network.
Communication devices needed for mobile access and multiple scales with serial connections are installed and configured inside the station before delivery. Equipment is selected to suit the site.
From scale to cloud application
Smart Scale gives operators local controls at the scale. The station connects local equipment to cloud applications, which manage jobs and use the recorded data in the wider workflow.
Technically, the station acts as an Exact Trace Leaf and communicates with the cloud application through Azure IoT Hub, using a local network or mobile connection.
For fish reception facilities, Exact Landing is one example of such an application. We agree on the application and workflow for each installation.
Mounting
The standard model has a rear mounting bracket for a monitor arm or floor stand. The bracket can be removed if the location allows wall mounting.
Getting started
- Review. Tell us which scales you use, how they communicate and where the station will be installed.
- Configuration. We agree on the application, network requirements and equipment, then assemble and configure the station before delivery.
- Connection. Connectivity, weight readings and interaction with the application are checked during commissioning. Any installation assistance is agreed in advance.
